STEERING KNUCKLES FOR THE 70 SERIES

REPLACE A CRACKED OR DAMAGED FRONT KNUCKLE

The front steering knuckles on a 70 Series carry the hub, brake caliper mounting, and the steering arm. They are forged steel and tough, but a serious impact on a rock at speed can crack the knuckle, bend the steering arm mounting boss, or hog out the spindle bearings to the point where the knuckle is scrap. When that happens, the only solution is a new knuckle, because welding cracked steering components is neither safe nor legal. Replacement knuckles in this collection restore the front end to a known-good condition rather than continuing to drive a vehicle with compromised steering geometry.

FORGED STEEL CONSTRUCTION

Each knuckle in this range is forged steel rather than cast, matching the original Toyota construction specification for strength under the loads a 70 Series puts through the front end. Machined surfaces for the spindle, the caliper mounting bolts, and the brake hose connection are precise to factory dimensions so existing hardware bolts back on without modification. Wheel bearing races press into the knuckle to the correct tolerance for OEM bearings. Each knuckle is supplied bare, requiring the spindle, hub, bearings, and brake hardware to be transferred from the old knuckle during installation.

FITS 60, 70, 75, AND OLDER MODELS

Steering knuckle fitment is largely shared across the Toyota Land Cruiser solid axle range because Toyota used the same front-end geometry across multiple generations. The FJ60, FJ62, FJ70, FJ75, HJ45, HJ47, HJ60, HJ61, and HJ75 typically use the same knuckle part numbers. Each listing confirms exact body style, year range, and engine code before you order. Replacement is a workshop job that requires the right tools to remove the spindle and bearings without damaging the new knuckle. Schedule a complete swivel hub seal and bearing replacement at the same time.
