If the brake pedal in your 70 Series feels noticeably harder than it used to, the booster is likely the culprit. Brake boosters use vacuum from the engine to multiply pedal force, and when the internal diaphragm fails or the vacuum lines crack, you suddenly need ten times the leg pressure to stop. On a vehicle that weighs three tonnes loaded, that gets dangerous fast. A new booster restores normal pedal feel immediately, which matters most on a fully-loaded ute coming down a long descent or pulling up before a caravan. It is one of the safety-critical parts that does not announce itself when it is going bad.

9-INCH AND 8/9-INCH OPTIONS

The 70 Series uses 9-inch and 8/9-inch dual-diameter brake boosters depending on the body style and year. Each booster in this collection is supplied as a complete remanufactured or new unit with a fresh internal diaphragm, vacuum check valve, and the mounting hardware needed to bolt it to the firewall. Brake line and master cylinder fittings are factory specification so the existing master cylinder mounts straight back on. Installation requires bleeding the brake system after fitment but no special tools beyond standard workshop hand tools.

SUITS 70, 75, AND OLDER 60 SERIES

Brake booster fitment varies by body style, year, and whether the vehicle has manual or automatic transmission, because the firewall layout and master cylinder mounting differ slightly.
