Toyota changed the 70 Series bonnet shape five times across production, so the right protector is the era-specific one. The 1984-1999 bonnet protector suits the original short-front clip on HJ75, HZJ75, and FZJ75 utes and Troopys (also fits 73, 74, and Bundera). The 1999-2007 protector covers the HZJ76 wagons, HZJ78 Troopys, and HZJ79 utes (and HDJ79 V8 turbo) of the pre-V8 era.
