SAFARI ARMAX AND V-SPEC SNORKELS FOR THE 2023 ONWARDS 4.5L V8

V8 GRUNT MEETS A NEW GUARD SHAPE

The 2023 facelift kept the 4.5L 1VD-FTV V8 alongside the new 2.8L diesel option, but the guard shape and front clip are different to the pre-2023 VDJ vehicles. That means an older 2007 to 2023 V8 snorkel does not fit a 2024 vehicle, even though the engine is technically the same. The Safari ARMAX and V-Spec snorkels in this collection are moulded specifically for the new GDJ guard line on V8-powered vehicles, with the right mounting hole pattern and airbox connection for the facelift airbox housing. The intake bore is sized for the V8's higher airflow demand.

UV-STABILISED POLYETHYLENE WITH V8 AIRFLOW SIZING

Each snorkel in this collection is a Safari ARMAX (the premium CFD-modelled option) or Safari V-Spec (the proven cost-effective option). The body is moulded from UV-stabilised polyethylene that resists stone impacts and UV damage through years of dirt-road and outback use. The intake bore is sized for the 1VD-FTV V8 specifically, which has a higher airflow demand than the 2.8L diesel running alongside it. The ram head orientation and airbox adaptor are engineered for the GDJ-era airbox position, which is slightly different to the pre-2023 V8 layout. Mounting uses templates that mark the required guard cuts precisely. Installation is a workshop or DIY job that takes around half a day.

SUITS GDJ76, GDJ78, AND GDJ79 V8 FROM 2023

This collection covers Safari ARMAX and V-Spec snorkels for the GDJ76 Wagon, GDJ78 Troop Carrier, and GDJ79 single cab and dual cab built with the 4.5L V8 from the 2023 facelift onwards. Each listing confirms exact body style and engine code before you order. The 2.8L diesel option in the facelift range uses a different snorkel because the airbox connection and intake bore differ. Pre-2023 V8 vehicles need the 2007 to 2023 V8 snorkel range instead because the guard shape and airbox layout changed at the facelift.
