HEAVY-GAUGE STEEL, POWDER COATED
The tow bars in this collection are built from heavy-gauge steel with a powder-coated black finish that handles years of mud, salt spray, and stone strikes without rusting through. Each tow bar bolts directly to the 79 chassis rails using the factory mounting points and rated hardware, with no welding, no drilling, and no modifications. The standard 50mm square receiver accepts caravan hitches, boat trailer hitches, and a range of recovery and accessory mounts. Wiring harness options pair with the towbar for trailer brake controllers and trailer lighting.
SINGLE CAB, DUAL CAB, AND BOTH ERAS
This collection includes tow bars for the 79 single cab, dual cab, and the 78 Troopy where the rear chassis configuration is shared. VDJ79 (2007-2023) and GDJ79 (2024 onward) variants have slightly different rear chassis mounting points so the tow bars are platform-specific. Each listing confirms exact body style and year fitment, along with the rated towing capacity and supplied hardware.
